Aliyah Wise is a fourth-year Honors student pursuing Digital Arts and Computer Science at Bowling Green State University. She dedicates her education and career towards her passion of bridging art, storytelling, and technology.
Aliyah’s work mainly involves 3D modeling, texturing, and media production. With experience in Maya, the Adobe Suite, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Unity, and more, she likes to create work that connects people. She is also procifient in C++, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Python. Aliyah integrates her technical experience with art by building tools for a more seamless experience as an artist. As an Asian American student with epilepsy, she is especially passionate about representation and advocacy for underrepresented communities. Aliyah works everyday to share, preserve, and connect with new voices and stories using creative experiences–whether it is through art, technology, or hopefully both!
Alongside her education, Aliyah is a Digital Content Archive Manager for the ACM SIGGRAPH History Archive. She researches and manages digital/physical archive contents of SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia conferences all the way since 1974. Aliyah has also served as a SIGGRAPH Student Volunteer the past two years. She is also a Film and Media Intern for Schindler Elevator Corporation‘s Technical Learning Department where she films, photographs, produces, and edits content. Her role is to highlight the mechanics’ and trainers’ experiences working and learning in the elevator/escalator industry.
